While the iPhone (News - Alert) is a very smart device, it requires users to use their hands while performing different functions, such as a video call.
President Wayne Fromm, a successful inventor and entrepreneur with a number of patented inventions to his credit, has found a way out with the Quik Pod Mobile. Fromm Works has invented and marketed nearly 50 successful commercial products.
The hands-free Quik Pod Mobile, the world's first tripod adapter for smartphones that is case- and charger-compatible, has made its debut at 2011 CES (News - Alert) in Las Vegas at the iLounge Pavilion booth 5624.
It has been designed so that it will be suitable to use with the popular smartphones and Apple Touch. Whether attending a video call or a photo and video shoot, the Quik Pod Mobile is a great thing to have around.
Lightweight and portable, the tripod socket is an industry standard 1/4-inch x 20 and the Quick Pod Mobile weighs less than 2 ounces. A rugged and sturdy extendable mini tripod is also included. What is even better is that the Quik Pod Mobile is compatible with all standard tripods and all models of Quik Pod handheld extendable tripods for self-imaging.
The Quik Pod line of products can be purchased in the U.S. at J&R Computer World, B&H Photo, Adorama, Amazon, in Canada at Henrys, or online. In Europe, the official distributors are Kaiser Fototechnik and Shakama Grupo Empresarial S.L. Quik Pod extendable handheld Tripods are protected under U.S.Patent 7,684,694.
