IPtimize Adds BroadSoft's Application Server to Expand Suite of IP Applications

IPtimize, a provider of broadband voice and data services reportedly announced that it will deploy a second application server from BroadSoft, Inc. enabling it to expand its suite of advanced multimedia IP applications to both its residential and commercial cable system customers.
The company said that the BroadSoft (News - Alert) BroadWorks VoIP application platform helps it build its multimedia IP services. Suburban and rural cable systems offer business services and the scalable IPtimize platform is preferred by customers in markets of all sizes. The increase in capacity allows new IPZI customers to migrate to the new expanded platform.
“BroadSoft’s technology allows IPtimize to support its cable systems and other business class customers with a service level that is second to none,” said Robert Flood, chief technology officer at IPtimize, in a statement. “IPtimize provides advanced services at a price that allows smaller providers to actively compete in the IP world.”
“By expanding our relationship with BroadSoft, IPtimize’s cable system customers can provide the advanced services they’ve wanted to offer for a long time but that have not been practical for them,” said IPtimize’s director of technology Bill Brownrigg in a statement.
The IPtimize platform helps smaller multi-service operators cost-effectively offer the same type of advanced business and residential services as that offered by large cable operators, noted Leslie Ferry, vice president of marketing at BroadSoft.
The IMS-compliant BroadWorks platform includes a range of VoIP applications which includes Hosted Unified Communications, Mobile PBX (News - Alert), Business Trunking and residential broadband services fully integrated into a single VoIP application platform. BroadWorks provides these applications combined with reliability, redundancy, scalability and regulatory capabilities for delivering carrier-class service.
BroadSoft said that its VoIP application software helps deliver hosted telephony and multimedia services. Its family of carrier-class products including BroadWorks technology allows wireless, wireline and cable carriers to deliver voice and multimedia applications and advanced features which enhance competitive differentiation.
IPtimize provides broadband voice and data services which connects, adapts and manages commercial and residential IP services for industries. The company’s customers will be able to offer business-class bundled services which can be easily implemented. The solutions and services provided by the company are carrier and terminal equipment agnostic, fully monitored and supported.
