Mixed Signals Expands Sales Force to Meet Growing Demand

By Raju Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Looking to meet the growing demand for its content monitoring systems worldwide, Mixed Signals, the provider of digital content monitoring systems, has announced the recruitment of four new employees at the NCTA’s (News - Alert) Cable Show. Jeff Porter, Rob Wiggins, Tino Muders and Crystal Hoey have been hired as the newest sales executives.

Wiggins has worked closely with major cable operators on their quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) efforts. Recruited as director of sales for the central U.S., Caribbean and Latin America regions, Wiggins held former positions ranging from director of worldwide sales at Sage Instruments (News - Alert) to the former regional sales manager at IneoQuest. He will report to Dan Donnelly, senior vice president of global sales and marketing.

Porter is the recipient of this year’s 42nd annual Cable TV Pioneer Award in recognition of his service to the industry. He joined the company as the director of sales in the Northeast, and is vastly experienced having worked in senior sales positions with BigBand Networks (News - Alert) and ADC. He will also report to Donnelly.

Before joining Mixed Signals, Hoey held engineering positions with EchoStar and the U.S. Navy. He joins Mixed Signals as a member of the sales engineering team and will be responsible for sales engineering support, including the installation of Mixed Signals products, training of customer staff, and ongoing customer support for the central U.S.

Muders comes to Mixed Signals from BigBand Networks, where he was the director of systems engineering for EMEA. He will be a senior systems consultant at Mixed Signals and will leverage his extensive cable and digital TV knowledge to perform an integral role in the sales process. The company expects Muders to play a major role in the continued advancement in the European marketplace.

“There is an increasing demand in the market for superior, comprehensive monitoring solutions, especially among television service providers focused on ensuring quality of experience and service in a competitive marketplace,” said Eric Conley, CEO of Mixed Signals. “Mixed Signals continues to attract the top talent in the industry, and the addition of these seasoned professionals will help us continue our rapid growth in this space.”
