Voipfone Launches Free Call Conferencing

London-based Internet telephony provider, Voipfone announced this week that the company just added full teleconferencing to its portfolio of self-service Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) products. The company explained that the new feature is available free of charge to all Voipfone customers. Voipfone is an Internet telephony service provided by Inet Telecoms Ltd, a London-based company.

Using the new teleconferencing system, any Voipfone customer can set up their own private meeting for any number of people and for any duration. Invited conference members then call in for free from the Voipfone network or any telephone in the world at standard 0870 prices.

"This free service is a full voice conferencing product. There’s no booking fee, no service charge, no limits, and no nonsense. Call conferencing is just the latest in a range of new products and services we’ll be adding to our network over the coming months," said Colin Duffy, CEO of Inet Telecoms Ltd (Voipfone).

Any Voipfone customer can use this service for free when calling from the Voipfone network. Other parties can also join from any ordinary telephone anywhere in the world, even if they are not a Voipfone customer.

End-users can hold a conference with any number of people to last as long as they like at any time. It’s absolutely free to call the 0870 access number for all Voipfone customers. Callers using the ordinary telephone network will be charged the standard 0870 rates, which for BT at the moment are between 1.5p/minute and 8p/minute depending on time of day. Calls to 0870 from outside the UK will be charged at the providers standard rates.
