Hibernia Chosen for London-New York Service

Beyond the Network America, Inc., a worldwide IP telephony provider, and Hibernia Atlantic, a Trans-Atlantic transport provider, announce today that btnaccess has selected Hibernia's cable network to provide optical level service from New York to London quickly and securely.

The agreement was driven by Hibernia's ability to offer route diversity, enhanced optical level service and Hibernia's unique ability to drop off traffic directly to Dublin. Hibernia Atlantic owns and operates the only direct Trans-Atlantic cable route from the US and Canada to Ireland and the UK.

Hibernia has deployed the latest, fastest cable connections, including optical and Ethernet services, up to GigE and 10Gbps wavelengths, within 63 milliseconds roundtrip.

Dan Lovatt, Chief Executive Officer for btnaccess said his company provides hosted PBX and MPLS VPN to carriers, service providers and enterprises, and that “we see Hibernia Atlantic's extensive suite of network services, large bandwidth capacity, and extremely low latency” as attractive options to offer their customers.
