Westborough, MA-based iQ NetSolutions (news - alert), a provider of enterprise presence and call control software solutions, made public this morning that its VistaPoint Enterprise will now support Avaya’s (quote - news - alert) IP Office and MERLIN MAGIX systems. The company integrated its services with Avaya’s systems as part of an agreement that unites both companies as iQNetSolutions now becomes a member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Partner Program.
Today’s announcement follows iQ NetSolutions’ recent release of VistaPoint Enterprise version 4.0. According to the company, its VistaPoint Enterprise system was designed to deliver enterprise-wide presence monitoring and telephony call control across heterogeneous communication systems. The company says the product suite includes productivity-enhancing apps designed for a variety of users including system operators and executive assistants—providing them with complete call control and real-time presence visibility of every user throughout the enterprise with VistaPoint Console.
The VistaPoint Companion series offers plug-in apps compatible with Microsoft Outlook and Windows Messenger—said to extend presence and call control capabilities to all other enterprise users. "Presence is no longer exclusive to Instant Messaging or SIP devices. IQ NetSolutions’ technology bridges the gap between legacy TDM-based PBXs and emerging technologies such as VoIP and SIP," said Ray Ryan, Executive Vice President and CTO, iQ NetSolutions. "The use of presence and call control-based applications make it possible for employees to instantly connect callers with a requested party for improved customer service and support."
iQ NetSolutions’ VistaPoint Enterprise works with PBX platforms (TDM and IP) from vendors including Avaya, Cisco, Mitel, Nortel, Siemens and others. Avaya selects members for its DeveloperConnection Program based on business and technology market experience—specifically in hardware, software and other services. All program members are third-party developers whose communications solutions are designed to work with the Avaya product suite.
"Membership in the Avaya DevConnect Partner Program is a significant achievement and milestone for us," said Greg Pisano, director of marketing and product management, iQ NetSolutions. "Achieving certification with Avaya IP Office and Merlin Magix is key to extending our vision of a unified any-to-any communications model that delivers productivity applications that work across multiple vendors and mixed technologies."
Today’s announcements follow Avaya’s recent acquisition of Tenovis GmbH & Co. KG, a major European provider of enterprise communications systems and services from affiliates of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Tenovis is known for providing communications products including telephony, call and contact center, customer relationship management, messaging, networking and services to companies and public authorities in countries across Europe including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. The deal added about an extra 5,400 employees to Avaya’s roster.
