Voiceserve Makes Available VoIP Mobile Dialer for BlackBerry Cellular Phones TMCnet Contributor Voiceserve, a next-generation Internet Telephony software and service provider, has announced the availability of its VoIP mobile dialer for BlackBerry cellular phones. With the company's dialer, BlackBerry (News - Alert) users can make and receive phone calls via the Internet 3G or Edge connectivity. In addition, they can benefit from "significantly" lower cost on international calls, said company officials. The new service is offered through Voiceserve's Voipswitch software, which also offers VoIP dialers for Symbian -- Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony, and more -- Android (News - Alert) and Windows cellular phones. Designed to work with the VoipSwitch's Softswitch platform developed by VoiceServe, the softphone dialer is compatible with alternative third party SIP compliant platforms, said company officials. Additionally, the company also announced the availability of its VoIP dialer for iPhone users through either a direct purchase of minutes via the Apple (News - Alert) Apps Store or through Voiceserve's Web site. In addition to enjoying cost savings on their incoming and outgoing mobile phone calls anywhere in the world, iPhone (News - Alert) users can also use all their current phone features such as call forwarding, call waiting, conference calling at a reduced cost, said company officials. Bibelman said that Voiceserve's Vippie dialers, combined with an extensive range of capabilities embedded in the VoIPSwitch and PBX (News - Alert) services empowers merchants with the most comprehensive VoIP service available. "In addition, we are also introducing our ability to offer, directly to consumers, a program to purchase VoIP minutes for their mobile devices," Bibelman said. The company's first initiative is with iPhone customers, enabling them to purchase minutes through the Apple Apps Store and check out directly within their Apple account, and also they may purchase minutes through the company's Web site, Bibelman said.
