SAManage Launches Free SaaS IT Asset Management Solution

SAManage reportedly is making its Software as a Service solution available to organizations for free so that they can use the IT asset management solution more easily.
SAManage officials say the solution will be delivered to companies on demand through the Internet. SAManage can provide organizations with a real-time view of PCs Personal Computers, laptops, servers as well as other IT assets in the organization – whether they’re connected to the company network or not. That feature will give companies control and visibility of their IT environment, helping work towards the effective management and complete utilization of assets.
According to Doron Gordon, chief executive officer and founder of SAManage, the free service arrives as organizations worldwide seek to reduce IT budgets and tighten controls to ensure that IT assets are utilized appropriately and effectively.
“We are happy to be able to provide organizations worldwide with tools and services that will enable them to face the demands of these challenging times,” Gordon said.
For some, including TMC President Rich Tehrani ( News - Alert), these times have become challenging, in part, because of government officials who must be help accountable.
The SAManage Software-as-a-Service application may appeal to struggling businesses because it requires no hardware or software infrastructure.
It will work to eliminate the efforts needed and costs incurred when traditional IT Asset Management solutions are deployed, according to the company. Since SAManage will provide instant access to asset configuration data, it will assist IT departments to not only improve their service levels and cut down on problem resolution time but also to enable them to make easy audit changes to assets.
According to Miki Shvo, director of IT for Dassault Systèmes Israel, SAManage dynamically updates the information his company is tracking and presents it in an actionable format, which means that the company can immediately take action when a risk is identified anywhere in the organization.
“By providing clear and accurate visibility into our IT inventory information and highlighting the areas that require attention, SAManage has eliminated a labor-intensive process that was a source for risks with the previous system,” Shvo said.
The free SAManage service also has an additional premium plan on offer that is capable of proactively detecting IT-related risks such as illegal software, security gaps, or missing patches. The premium plan comes at $20 per computer per year.
