G5 Mobile Technology to Aid Marketers through Coupon Tracking
 TMCnet Contributing Editor
Local advertising and measurement solutions provider G5 Search Marketing announced today that it’s added mobile coupons to its local marketing platform enabling businesses to track customer conversions from where they originate online to the point of sale off-line.
G5 Search Marketing officials say that, typically in local markets, people search online and then use the phone or visit the brick and mortar store to complete the transaction off-line. The company says it’s offering G5 Mobile Coupons for Local Internet Advertising as part of the G5 Local Marketing Platform.
Using proprietary tracking technology, the G5 Local Marketing Platform tracks the coupon redemption, back to the advertising source where it originated online, according to the company. As this technology shows what advertisements turned in to customers, it empowers business owners to identify which advertising campaigns are producing their most profitable customers, company officials say.
G5 Chief Executive Officer Dan Hobin said that local businesses can now see which advertising campaigns, be it from Google ( News - Alert), Yahoo, Facebook or some other Web properties, turned into customers. Companies can also see which customers come from maps or optimized search engine listings, officials say.
G5 Search Marketing says it gives business owners visibility into what advertising efforts produce their most profitable customers. The company was in news recently for announcing a strategic alliance with Google to become an authorized reseller of Google’s AdWords advertising program.
Under the agreement, AdWords has been integrated into the G5 Local Advertising Platform empowering G5 to help local businesses efficiently tap into the power and reach of the Google AdWords online advertising platform.
