TelTronics Launches Service Level Management Solution for Nortel Customers
 Senior Contributing Editor
TelTronics, which makes remote monitoring equipment, has launched its Intelligent Service Level Management (iSLM) Solution, which is aimed at reducing IP telephony costs and increasing productivity for Nortel ( News - Alert) partners and customers.
iSLM enables an enhanced ‘first strike’ capability against network problems by detecting them before they impact customers and end users. It picks off system total cost of ownership by automating administration and routine support functions. It provides an integrated combination of advanced functionality, extensive infrastructure coverage and unprecedented ease-of-use and speed of deployment.
iSLM uses the specially designed Nortel CS1000 Monitor Probe to receive, capture, process, and report on performance metrics in a Nortel IP environment. The probe comprehensively monitors key Nortel operations including call and signaling servers, media gateways, and IP phones. It watches the network infrastructure and voice quality: which are vital in maintaining reliable IP service.
iSLM can also be aimed at other targets through another new feature, VQProbe. VQProbe gives IP telephony switches an agnostic means of proactively monitoring real-time and completed call voice calls to ensure maximum performance, exceptional reliability and the highest level of voice quality.
Nortel customers can see the iSLM on parade at the International Nortel Networks Users Association (INNUA) Global Connect 2008 held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, TX June 2 - 4, 2008. Teltronics ( News - Alert) experts provide on-site demonstrations, highlighting the benefits of the Teltronics Nortel Monitor Probe for CS1000 and VQProbe.
The iSLM is the latest in the array of IP telephony and digital voice communications platforms and software, contact center, and network management solutions for small-to-large size businesses and government facilities from Teltronics. In April, 2008 the company launched its Cerato family of IP-enabled PBX products.
"For nearly two decades, Nortel and major carriers have relied on the Teltronics Intelligent Systems Management (ISM) product line as a network monitoring and management facilitator,” says TelTronics President and CEO Ewen Cameron. “We are is excited about the release of the Nortel CS1000 Monitor Probe and VQProbe as exclusive solutions for Nortel end users and partners to effectively monitor and manage their IP telephony, IT infrastructure and other business critical applications.”
