TELUS Hires Veracode to Provide Enhanced Application Security

TELUS, a telecommunications company in Canada, has selected Veracode Inc. to leverage its SecurityReview solution to provide a superior level of security for its internal applications.
 
Using SecurityReview, TELUS will be able perform a more comprehensive analysis of the security levels of its internal applications.
 
Furthermore, TELUS will become a key channel partner for Veracode in Canada. In collaboration with Veracode, and will offer security assessments through TELUS Security Solutions, helping customers to identify and repair software vulnerabilities before they become liabilities.


 
“This partnership with Veracode gives us access to a key application security technology -- binary code security reviews as an outsourced service -- and allows us to further strengthen our differentiated suite of security offerings," said Mark Noppe, vice president and general manager of TELUS Security Solutions in a statement to the press. "IT security is a fast-growing business for us. Partnering with Veracode increases the power of our security review value proposition. By providing binary code reviews, we can help our customers identify and remediate the software flaws that put their businesses at risk without the need to expose their intellectual property."


 
Veracode offers automated, on-demand application security solutions. Created by a team of application security experts from @stake, Guardent, VeriSign (News - Alert) and Symantec, the company delivers services to identify software flaws introduced through coding errors or malicious intent.
