Real Capital, a financial services company and affiliate of Barclays North has completed its initial deployment of the Appian Enterprise BPM Suite.

Real Capital previously depended on its paper-based processes. Using Appian Enterprise the financial services company has streamlined and reduced errors within its loan application processes.
With Appian Enterprise, applications and supporting documents automatically pull customer information from the company's CRM application. This eliminates the need for employees to manually input the majority of applicant data.
Following the completion of the loan application, Appian Enterprise automatically forwards it to the company's Microsoft SharePoint application, where the information can be accessed by Real Capital's partner lending institutions for review and approval. Appian Enterprise works with SharePoint to automatically update the loan application while changes are made to the application.
“Since implementing Appian Enterprise at the beginning of this year, Real Capital has gained increased visibility into and control over our entire Loan Origination System, which is a huge asset as we continually strive to improve our processes to better serve our customers,” said Thomas Cummings, president of Real Capital in a statement
Appian Enterprise enables them to increase the accuracy of and decrease the time required to create each loan application by improving their person-to-person processes and allowing them to automatically incorporate information from various applications.
“Appian's rapid deployment allowed us to gain these competitive advantages within a matter of weeks, which has had a significant impact on the efficiency of our business,” added Cummings.
Michael Beckley, Appian chief technology officer explained that Real Capital's Loan Origination System is integral to the success of its business and by automating the processes and streamlining the entire system, the company is able to better serve its customers and improve the way it works with their lenders.
Beckley points out that as companies work to improve their operating efficiencies, Appian's BPM suite enables them to add structure, visibility and control to previously ad hoc processes. The solution thus greatly improves business performance and agility and is proving to be a significant advantage for Real Capital.
