ERF Wireless (News - Alert), a provider of encrypted wireless networks for the regional banking industry, has announced that it has forged strategic partnerships with companies such as Inter-Tel, 3Com and ShoreTel (News - Alert) to deliver secure high-quality voice applications and phone products to the banking industry via the proprietary CryptoVue system.

ERF’s new comprehensive and secure telecommunications solution, VoIPNet, promises to allow financial institutions to dramatically improve efficiencies, while also reducing recurring long distance and expensive Telco circuit charges.

Mike Moehle, Executive Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Business Development at ERF Wireless, shared in a statement, “ERF Wireless has just completed a year-long development project designing secure sophisticated telephone solutions with integrated hardware and software that work together seamlessly to provide outstanding functionality and ease of use.”

“With our team of trained technical specialists, engineering staff and support personnel, we can now provide secure custom-tailored telephone communications solutions for any financial institution.”

Moehle also highlighted that the true test of any development project are the resulting sales. The company has already signed its first customer, Iberville Bank & trust in Louisiana, to a six-figure contract.

James LaBauve, senior vice president of Iberville Bank & Trust commented that the sleek, stylish handsets, intelligent call processor and the advanced unified messaging server will enable to bank to take full advantage of the efficiencies and cost effectiveness that VoIP provides.

LaBauve went on to add that the ERF Wireless VoIPNet product provides the bank with the ability to establish a state-of-the-art call center in order to better serve customers. The bank leaders viewed the VoIPNet solution presented by ERF Wireless as by far the superior price/performance product offering, significantly outpacing competitive offerings with the next generation call processing system.

The immediate success of the new VoIPNet product line confirms the strategic plan to develop and market additional ERF Wireless products to our BranchNet banking customers, according to John A. Burns, COO of ERF Wireless. Execution on this strategy is making it possible for ERF Wireless to achieve its plan to capture a substantial share of the $9 billion secure wireless market for community, regional and nationwide financial US institutions.

VoIPNet is taking advantage of the benefits that VoIP has to offer while also stepping up security to match the needs of those in the financial services industry. While VoIP has long promised cost efficiencies, quality and security have been key issues, especially in a wireless environment.

ERF Wireless has proven that it has overcome these challenges, especially in its signing of the contract with Iberville Bank & Trust. Successful implementation and integration will ensure the company’s ability to make a significant impact on the market.
