Alert) AG, according to
Access Commerce, the multichannel commerce solutions provider. Cameleon will provide integration to enable companies to rapidly deploy Cameleon within their SAP NetWeaver platform-based environments and to access Cameleon functionality within the SAP NetWeaver Portal.
Cameleon has been selected by a wide range of enterprises around the world to help with the optimization of complex selling and ordering processes by addressing critical requirements for product information management, e-commerce, configuration, pricing, quoting and order management across any sales channel (direct, call center, B2B, B2C, B2B2C). Companies can use Cameleon to eliminate order errors, improve revenues and profit margins and eliminate non value-added activities from commerce processes.
Kurt Haller, executive vice president of Access Commerce, commented that there is a reason why Access Commerce selected the name Cameleon for its solution. Just like the reptile, Cameleon software has the ability to readily adapt to its environment, whether it is different product types, commerce processes, business models or in this case different technologies. Customers can now use Cameleon multichannel commerce solutions on the same platform as their SAP solutions, speeding deployment, reducing integration cost and risk and therefore lowering the total ownership cost.
In order to achieve Powered by SAP NetWeaver status, Access Commerce had to demonstrate that Cameleon could be successfully deployed on a J2EE-based deployment of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server Release 6.40 and can be accessible via the SAP NetWeaver Portal. The SAP Integration & Certification Center tested and certified this deployment.
Cameleon is powered by SAP NetWeaver which powers the mySAP Business Suite family of applications, SAP xApps packaged composite applications and partner solutions. To enable change and reduce the need for customer integration, SAP NetWeaver unified integration technologies into a single platform and is pre-integrated with business applications.
According to Jacques Soumeillan, president and CEO of Access Commerce, the company has a number of customers running SAP solutions today and as an independent software vendor with Powered by SAP NetWeaver status, Access Commerce will gain further visibility within the SAP solution-based ecosystem. Cameleon is now included in the SAP NetWeaver Partner Solution catalog and participation in SAPPHIRE and other marketing events is anticipated to demonstrate the added value that Cameleon can bring to companies running SAP solutions.
As more and more traditional call centers become multi-channel contact centers incorporating up selling and cross selling activities into the center’s strategy, leaders are looking for solutions that will not only help with the implementation of such a process, but also to drive its functionality for optimal performance.
Access Commerce will be able to make significant headway in the positioning and marketing of its Cameleon solution now that it is SAP NetWeaver certified as this is a strong and proven name in the industry. Over time, it is likely that we will see Cameleon gain more adoption in the industry and Access Commerce grab more of the market share.
