Planet PDA In Boston Announces Industry
Record Setting Exhibit Sales
Technology Marketing Corporation
(TMC) announced that, based on an amazing 56% growth in sales from 2001 to
2002, Planet PDA is one of the
fastest growing technology shows in the world. Having launched in December
2001, Planet PDA quickly wowed its exhibitors and attendees by becoming the
defacto meeting place for serious handheld computing purchasers the world
over.
The success of the inaugural event prompted TMC to announce the launch
another Planet PDA last January. In only four months time, the exhibit hall
grew 56% over the first show's exhibits.
"Having witnessed the state of technology shows this past year, it
is hard to believe that any of them are actually growing," Says TMC
President, Rich Tehrani. "The 50 exhibitors at Planet PDA make this
event the largest handheld computing event in the world as well as the only
handheld computing event that is platform agnostic. I would really like to
thank Compaq, Avaya, Microsoft, Intel, HP, Symbol Technologies, Interactive
Intelligence and Handheld Computing Group only a few of the companies that I
feel have made this event so successful."
TMC is also proud to be collocating with Planet PDA, a Wearable PC Summit

focusing on the wearable computing market and Tablet PC Summit www.tmcnet.com/tabletpc focusing on
tablet computing. These events take place this Monday, May 13 and will be
followed by Planet PDA, which takes place May 14-16.
TMC Vice President, Marc Robins says, "These summits are just a
small example of how TMC is the leader in educating its audience on truly
useful technologies." Robins continues, "I have been attending
technology trade shows for over twenty years and am ecstatic to be involved
with a show that has such appeal that the show hotel started selling out
almost two months before the event took place! This is unheard of for a show
taking place in a new venue in this economic environment."
