Technology Marketing Corporation Adds New Events To 2002 Conference Schedule

Technology Marketing Corporation� (TMC) announced the addition of two new conferences and three seminar workshops to their already aggressive schedule for 2002.

BiometriTech�, a new event in the burgeoning biometric authentication industry, will be held June 25-27 in New York City. The new Smarter Card Summit� will be held in conjunction with BiometriTech�.

TMC� has also added a second Planet PDA�: The Enterprise PDA Event, to be held September 26-28 in San Francisco. The first Planet PDA� is scheduled for May 13-16 in Boston. Two full day workshops, Tablet PC Summit� and Wearable PC Summit�, will be held concurrently with each Planet PDA� show.

The addition of these events provides further evidence of TMC's leadership role in the high technology conference business. At a time when many events are being cancelled or scaled back, TMC is launching new shows, hiring additional staff, and increasing market share.

Other TMC events in 2002 include the very successful INTERNET TELEPHONY� Conference & EXPO Miami held earlier this month; INTERNET TELEPHONY� Conference & Expo San Diego in October; and Communications SOLUTIONS� EXPO, held concurrently with Planet PDA this May in Boston.

"At a time when many factors are combining to force conference organizers to pull back and reduce their schedules, we're committed to launching new events that leverage our expertise and take advantage of markets that are emerging and growing," explained Rich Tehrani, TMC president.

"We know what's going on with the economy. We know that travel budgets have been slashed. But, I think the overwhelming success of our show earlier this month (INTERNET TELEPHONY� Conference & Expo) proves that there is great demand for events that combine a quality conference education with a chance to meet many vendors in one place. That's what we're best at delivering," added Tehrani.

According to Marc Robins, TMC's vice president of publications and trade shows, there are no secret formulas driving TMC's conference success.

"The success of TMC events is driven by our ability to accurately select technologies and markets in high demand, to deliver a first-class education, and to provide a quality experience onsite for both attendees and exhibitors."
