AVST Demos CallXpress8 at ITEXPO 2009By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc., or “AVST (News - Alert),” an Orange County, Calif.-based developer of communications solutions, today demonstrated its flagship unified communications platform CallXpress 8 to attendees at Technology Marketing Corporation’s ITEXPO West 2009, which is underway at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Company officials are showcasing the platform and demonstrating its benefits in booth #232 through Sept. 3. More than 7,000 buyers and sellers of IP communications products and services are expected to attend TMC’s (News - Alert) conference and tradeshow, which runs through Thursday, Sept. 3.
CallXpress 8 offers interoperability and helps organizations protect and extend its existing data and telephony infrastructure investment. The technology delivers UC applications including advanced call processing, voicemail, unified messaging, personal assistant, fax, speech and notification.
AVST designed CallXpress to address the growing market for enterprise-class UC solutions that transition users from traditional telephony systems to next-generation IP telephony by using their existing infrastructure. To help with the transition, AVST offers more than 250 TDM and IP-PBX (News - Alert) integrations with the ability to support multiple switches on a CallXpress system.
The CallXpress UC platform turns a telephone system into a productivity tool, letting organizations leverage and extend their existing investments. More than 40,000 organizations use CallXpress to boost productivity, enable users to stay mobile, and improve their overall communications performance, the company said.
"Each year as businesses progress and the speed at which decision making is happening, the need to stay competitive moves to the top of our agenda,” Denny Michael (News - Alert), AVST's vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “At AVST we enable organizations to implement Unified Communications applications that increase productivity while supporting their existing PBX. Our solution is a natural fit for this audience and ITEXPO (News - Alert) is the perfect venue to co-strategize."
Earlier this year, AVST showcased CallXpress 8 targeting educational institutions. At the time, company officials said its solution was helping colleges and universities become mobile and productive. Officials said more than 800 educational institutions have selected CallXpress to stay mobile, increase productivity and improve their overall communications.
