TI Executive to Deliver Keynote Address at Communications Developer Conference

Technology Marketing Corporation reportedly has announced that Fred Zimmerman, director of CPE VoIP solutions for communications infrastructure and voice business at Texas Instruments (News - Alert), will deliver a keynote address at the 5th annual Communications Developer Conference.
In his present role as the director of CPE VoIP solutions, Zimmerman defines the strategies and products to support the adoption of VoIP in gateways, IP phones, WLAN IP phones, video telephony products and WiFi (News - Alert)/Bluetooth solutions.
Previously, he served as the director of silicon platform development for the VoIP business unit. He was also the department manager of a business unit developing embedded DSP chipset solutions for storage applications.
A veteran of the industry, Zimmerman has held a variety of engineering and management roles in groups focusing on consumer, PC, and military semiconductor applications during a career spanning 20 years.
Zimmerman said that he is excited to share TI’s vision of SMB-specific technology developments that will allow customers to meet the demands of the global community as we migrate towards a world where every connection is voice enabled.
Texas Instruments is behind some of the biggest developments in communications, said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), president of TMC and conference chair. He said, “I am excited to hear the insights that Fred Zimmerman will offer to attendees of the Communications Developer Conference.”

The conference is scheduled to be held from Sept. 16 to 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Zimmerman is expected to address the attendees on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
