Cbeyond Discusses SIPconnect at ITEXPO

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Cbeyond has stated that the Director of SIPconnect Development, Greg Rothman, will be presenting three educational seminars on SIPconnect at TMC's Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Conference & EXPO West.

Cbeyond delivers to small business customers an integrated package of high-quality local and long distance telephony services, high-speed, T-1 Internet access and Internet-based applications at lower costs.

The Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO West, held September 16-18, 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, is an educational program that teaches enterprises, small businesses and government agencies how to select and deploy IP-based services.

Rothman will be revealing the industrial insights on SIP trunking and SIPconnect. SIPconnect is an industry-wide, standards-based approach to direct IP peering between SIP-enabled IP PBXs and VoIP service provider networks. It is a protocol designed to establish end-to-end IP communication. The standard ensures consistent quality-of-service, low cost and full-featured SIP-based VoIP telephony.

According to the company, the industry standards-based approach to SIP trunking, such as SIPconnect, is an essential condition for widespread adoption by both IP PBX (News - Alert) vendors and service providers.

"The transformation to IP-based communications is gaining momentum among small businesses," said Rothman. "SIP trunking allows savvy entrepreneurs to realize service benefits previously only available to large enterprises and the positive impact those services have on the bottom line."

Rothman will participate in three "SIP Trunking" panels on September 16, 17 and 18. The three panels include, “SIP Trunking - The Service Provider Perspective” on September 16, “Case Study: American Idol Gets In Tune with SIP Trunking” on September 17 and “SMB Networking Alternatives” on September 18.

The first panel will oversee the three challenges of SIP Trunking. The second one will be a discussion on the benefits enjoyed by the show’s production company FremantleMedia by using Cbeyond’s (News - Alert) SIP Trunking. The third panel, “SMB Networking Alternatives” addresses the cost-effective IP-based solutions available at present that allow small businesses to effectively compete with much larger enterprises on a total budget that will make even the most frugal business owner smile.

Cbeyond has invited Channel Partners to visit their booth #438 to learn about the company’s plans and training programs. Companies will gain knowledge on ways to handle customer accounts, download sales collateral, create on-demand marketing materials, view account reports, and peruse product information at their convenience with Cbeyond PartnerAccess.
