Church Found Heavenly VoIP Enabler Solution
By Ed Silverstein, TMCnet Web Editor
Holy Cross Lutheran Church recently had a communications inspiration. The church wanted to upgrade their telephony system in both the church and two adjacent school buildings.
They chose to deploy an Asterisk-based IP PBX (News - Alert) with Polycom 330 IP Phones. One location had the necessary cabling and data switch to accommodate IP Phones but the other two buildings did not.
They wanted to deploy IP telephony in all three buildings but didn’t want to go through the expense and disruption to change the cabling and data switches for the remaining two buildings.
Nuance (News - Alert), Inc. introduced the church to the Phybridge UniPhyer, highlighting that with a design that placed a single UniPhyer in the central building to service all IP phones in the remaining two buildings coupled with the IP phones off of the existing data switch.
The attractiveness of the overall offering and the simplicity of deployment convinced the church to proceed with the project.
“Phybridge (News - Alert) UniPhyer went in great and easy. It worked perfectly out of the box. We have phones in multiple buildings being supported from a single Phybridge UniPhyer,” said Scott DeCoursey of Nuance, Inc.
Nuance specializes in designing, implementing and supporting voice, data and converged solutions.
Providing equipment is not the answer to solving business problems, but is merely the vehicle used to start the process. As a value added reseller, the company consciously chose to limit its product line to the best products from industry leading suppliers. They have sourced the best products to provide customers with solutions to fit the customers’ needs.
Phybridge Inc. is a provider of risk-free IP telephony infrastructure. The company brings practical innovations to market, which provide organizations with an easier way to deploy and manage their communications.
The company’s UniPhyer solution turns any IP PBX Telephony deployment into a simple risk-free, plug-and-play installation with significantly lower costs than traditional implementations.
