Critical Links Intros edgeHOTEL System

Critical Links, an enabler of unified voice, data and IT solutions, has reportedly launched an IP-based Hotel Management platform called edgeHOTEL, which combines vital voice, data, hotel management and property management system integration services required by hotels and resorts in a single system.

 

EdgeHOTEL dramatically reduces costs and latency of hotel operations while greatly improving guest experience with advanced telephony, web, e-mail, wireless and a plethora of integrated hotel features such as billing, room status, wake-up, call accounting, statistics etc. This is a modular offering that gives traveling executives the same voice, secure data and IT capabilities as if they were in their office and helps them stay connected with colleagues, customers and partners in a seamless, secure way.

 

Launched in 2006 from Critical Software Inc, Critical Links (News - Alert) is a venture backed company headquartered in Fairfield, N.J., and with offices in Portugal, the United Kingdom and India. The company’s first unified communications appliance, edgeBOX is said to offer all the vital voice and data communication services required by SMB’s or Branch-Offices, out of a single remotely managed device, and at a SMB price point.

 

According to the company, the edgeHOTEL not only lets hotels provide these road warriors with a great end-user experience, but also allows staff to manage the property much more efficiently.

 

Some of the key features and capabilities of edgeHOTEL include: Internet and Unified Messaging Gateway Interface with Major PMS Systems edgeBOX  including IP-PBX (News - Alert), router, Wi-Fi, storage and print, quality of service, network access, security and collaboration. In addition, it features billing system, call accounting with credit limit and automatic shutoff voice mail option, auto-attendant during off-fours check in/check out with voicemail allocation and clean-up, wake-up service, do not disturb, immediate room status, mini bar and programmable multi-language support, among other things.
