Call Compliance TeleBlock Helps Businesses Comply With Do Not Call Registry

Call Compliance, Inc. is offering its TeleBlock proprietary and transparent service to help businesses comply with the national "Do Not Call" registry. TeleBlock makes it easy for telemarketing firms to avoid making calls to consumers on both the new national Do Not Call list, as well as the existing 25-plus state Do Not Call programs.

The service is offered to numerous businesses that utilize the telephone to sell goods or services in the United States through Call Compliance's growing strategic relations program with VeriSign and participating telephone carriers. Some of these carriers are Covista Communications, eMeritus Communications, IDS Telecom, MCI, PaeTec Communications, Qwest Communications, XO Communications and hundreds of industry resellers.

Unlike various consumer products on the market that attempt to screen incoming calls from telemarketers, TeleBlock screens and blocks outbound calls as they are being made by the telemarketer, automatically, before they are completed to consumers who place their phone numbers on do-not-call lists. This unique technology resides on a telephone carrier’s nationwide network; therefore telemarketers can comply by simply signing up for the service with a participating carrier. Telemarketing firms can benefit by reducing their risk from non-compliance fines, while improving their consumer-friendly brand.

Joseph Sanscrainte, director of regulatory affairs for Call Compliance and the Editor of the noted telemarketing Regulatory Guide, said that the “Teleblock service removes the guesswork from compliance with all Do Not Call laws, potentially saving the industry billions of dollars in fines, and allowing telemarketers to focus on making sales, as opposed to managing databases.”
