MEGATRON Deploys MERA VoIP Transit
Softswitch
MERA Networks announced that
Canadian VoIP and satellite ILD provider MEGATRON Communications Inc. has
deployed the MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch (MVTS). The softswitch is
employed as the core element of the company network and the backbone of
the traffic transit center contributing much to the ease of interoperation
with the company's routing partners.
According to Timour Mouzafarov, director general of MEGATRON,
"MVTS dramatically improves call completion rates. Thanks to the
advanced configuration and policy-based routing capabilities the
application enables the provider to dynamically allocate traffic to the
partner carriers that offer most competitive route prices and best route
availability. Our MVTS functions in smooth interoperation with Cisco and
Quintum equipment helping us render service in the most uncomplicated and
cost effective way."
"MVTS facilitated peering which gave a boost to our VoIP
partnership ties," he added. "The number of partner-carriers and
customers has rapidly increased. The fact that MVTS is known is a big
advantage, because people in the industry community are aware of MVTS
being a reliable and robust VoIP solution."
"We are lucky and thankful to have MEGATRON as a demanding and
responsive customer. Due to our cooperation we have managed to adapt our
solution to the requirements of the American market proving, that MERA
Networks offers a finished high-end product to the customers," said
Natalya Korobkova, marketing director of MERA Networks. "Our company
is new in the North American markets, though we are determined to become a
leading vendor for small- and medium-size ILD providers in the none too
distant future. We are aimed at attaining the competitive edge through
offering small- and medium-size carriers robust VoIP solutions devoid of
excess functionality but giving vast business growth opportunities."
