Hughes Software Systems Unveils SIP User Agent
And Server Framework
Hughes Software Systems (HSS)
unveiled the SIP User Agent Toolkit and Server Framework to significantly
reduce time to market for developers using the session initiation protocol
(SIP) route to the voice over packet market. The two products are based on
the extremely successful SIP protocol stack offered by HSS.
The User Agent Toolkit is a C based abstraction library that exposes
call level APIs to users. This simplifies the development of phones,
B2BUAs, SIP-T interface in softswitches, SIP gateways, etc allowing users
to deploy faster.
The Server Framework is a "ready to run" C++ solution that
can function as a Proxy, Redirect, Location Server as well as Registrar.
In addition, the carrier grade server framework is highly customizable and
its component-based architecture allows the developer to use any third-
party application server for delivering value- add solutions including
presence, 3G servers and more.
"All our toolkits and solutions are designed to reduce the product
development process enabling customers to get to market quickly with
innovative new VoIP applications," said Ajay Gupta, AVP Business
Development, Hughes Software Systems.
"Our SIP toolkit and Server framework provides developers with a
complete solution, giving them low level access as well as high level APIs
to design the architecture of their products as they desire; We constantly
enable our customers to stay ahead of the technology curve and develop a
broad range of unique SIP-based products and services."
"Innovation, research, development and domain expertise have made
HSS a preferred partner of OEMs for building global communication
solutions," said Arun Kumar, President and Managing Director, Hughes
Software Systems. "The SIP toolkit and Server offering from HSS is a
critical enabling technology for the future of IP communications."
