Pagoo Teams With ReFlex Communications To Offer
Voice Over Broadband Internet Phone Services
Pagoo Inc., a provider of
comprehensive IP-based voice solutions, and ReFlex
Communications, Inc., a broadband Internet Service Provider, announced
ReFlex will test Pagoo's Broadband Voice Express, a hosted or licensed
solution that enables traditional and enhanced phone services to be
delivered over a broadband Internet connection.
ReFlex Internet subscribers using Pagoo's Broadband Voice Express will
find making and receiving phone calls over the Internet as simple as using
old-fashioned phone services, and much more feature-rich. After receiving
an instant phone number online, ReFlex subscribers will plug their regular
phone into a residential gateway (a device about the size of a small
answering machine), which converts analog phone signals into IP data
signals. Residential gateways improve IP sound to a level of quality
comparable to the Public Switched Telephone Network. Making and receiving
phone calls is as simple as picking up the phone. Consumers may also use
advanced features that go beyond traditional phone service. These
features, including Follow Me call forwarding and Caller ID, allow them to
decide who can reach them, when and where. These options are easily
updated or changed through a user-friendly Web page.
"Pagoo's innovative Voice over Broadband (VoB) solutions combined
with ReFlex's broadband network infrastructure means ReFlex customers will
enjoy the highest quality IP-based phone services available today,"
said Romain Gonthier, Pagoo's VP of Business Development & Sales.
"As the leading independent provider delivering new network capacity
to apartment and condominium communities, ReFlex is demonstrating its
commitment to providing state-of-the-art services to its customers."
"We are intent on delivering communications services that enhance
the quality of our subscribers' lives," said Dennis Muse, CEO of
ReFlex. "Pagoo's complete VoB solution enables us to quickly provide
a wide range of quality Internet phone services to our subscribers."
ReFlex builds hybrid wireless and fiber optic broadband Internet
networks designed specifically for apartment and condominium communities.
ReFlex connects directly from the resident's premises into a high-speed
fiber-optic backbone, bypassing local Internet "choke points."
With ReFlex Internet services, multi-family communities are able to offer
their residents fast, affordable Internet service without the competition
for bandwidth or long installation times associated with other providers.
Pagoo's Broadband Voice Express will allow ReFlex to add comprehensive
telephone services to its product line with minimal capital investment and
development.
Pagoo provides its service in an ASP or licensing model. Under the ASP
model, such as with ReFlex, Pagoo hosts and manages all components of the
system including the application, VoIP network, call signaling and service
operations. Pagoo has developed all application layer technology,
including event management software and end customer interfaces, and
partners with leading companies, NetCentrex and Genuity, for call control
signaling translation and the VoIP network, respectively. By working with
best of breed partners, Pagoo delivers the highest quality solution to the
service provider. Under Pagoo's licensed solutions, the company provides
and manages the software application and the customer typically hosts
parts of the solution, such as the VoIP network, billing, support and
other localized activities.
Pagoo's VoB solution is in trial with ReFlex Communications for the
next few months. Over the next several weeks, Pagoo will announce a number
of other DSL and Internet Service providers who will participate in
upcoming VoB trials.
