Rockwell FirstPoint Contact Delivers on
its Seamless IP Strategy
Rockwell FirstPoint Contact
announced it will be introducing the latest version of its FirstPoint
Business Edition solution on May 16, 2003. The new IP-enabled solution for
the small- to mid-size contact center is further proof of the company's
execution against its Seamless IP program announced in late 2002.
This product launch follows on the heels of the recent partnership
established between Rockwell FirstPoint Contact and CosmoCom, a leading
provider of SIP-based IP contact center technology. This partnership
provides existing FirstPoint Enterprise 2002 customers with a seamless
migration path to VoIP1 through an integration with CosmoCom's
IP-Framework. FirstPoint Enterprise 2002 is an end-to-end solution,
offering comprehensive multi-channel contact management, industry-leading
universal queuing, routing and reporting functionality and a unique, open
architecture which easily integrates enterprise data that can be delivered
to the customer at the point of contact.
Rockwell FirstPoint Contact's Seamless IP program ensures customers
that its solutions and applications easily transition, in a seamless
manner, to an IP infrastructure, at a pace that matches a customer's
strategic investment plans. The program dictates that all solutions and
enhancements will meet a standard complying with Rockwell FirstPoint
Contact's rigorous criteria for seamless IP migration.
"Reducing infrastructure costs by establishing branch offices or
remote locations will be one of the biggest factors driving customers to
adopt IP in the contact centers. Rockwell FirstPoint Contact recognizes it
can make this implementation painless by allowing customers the
opportunity of converging at their own pace," said Roger Sumner,
chief technology officer at Rockwell FirstPoint Contact. "The
benefits to this approach are measurable reduced infrastructure costs,
reduced interaction costs and reduced management costs."
