Appro Linux Clusters Shatter
Scalability, Supercomputing Performance
Appro announced that its new
HyperBlade Server Cluster, 1U, 2U, dual, and quad servers will be available
for purchase after the AMD Opteron launch on 4/22/03.
Appro HyperBlade Cluster Solution
The latest Appro HyperBlade server is designed for the
High-Performance Computational (HPC) market and provides a fully
integrated cluster solution for large-scale complex computations. It
achieves high-density architecture by using commodity x86 components in a
single cluster. With support for up to 80 compute blades - up to 160 AMD
Opteron; CPUs, Appro HyperBlade architecture doubles the current rack
density using 1U servers.
Appro 1U and 2U Dual/Quad Servers and Cluster Solutions
The Appro 1U and 2U dual/quad servers are the ideal building block for
powerful Web appliances requiring the highest processor and memory
bandwidth performance. For high performance computing cluster
applications, this high quality and cost-effective platform provides
unparalleled performance optimization, dependable power and thermal
reliability.
A key advantage of AMDs next-generation Opteron; Processor
technology is that it provides 64-bit computing with uncompromising
support for 32-bit applications. In addition, it delivers outstanding
performance throughput by using AMD HyperTransport; technology-based
system bus that enhances bandwidth in a multiprocessing environment.
By combining innovative design, use of superior components and
leveraging overseas manufacturing, Appro is able to provide
enterprise-level reliability, uncompromising quality while offering an
excellent price/performance ratio, said John Lee, Director of Product
Marketing for Appro.
