CTI Squared Adds New Features And Services To Its
Communications And Messaging Platform
CTI Squared (CTI2) announced a new version of its messaging
and communications platform. The new version 3.5 includes features and
services for mobile, home and business users to manage their personal and
business communications. The new services, with proven business models,
enable service providers to generate new revenue streams and can easily
and incrementally be added to their service offering.
Service providers are looking for new revenue generating services
that have a clear value to users and that will be widely adopted by their
subscribers, said Boaz Gruener, vice president of marketing at CTI2.
Our new version meets their needs while providing exciting new services
and features.
In addition to CTI2s robust unified communications capabilities,
version 3.5 adds the following packaged service options that service
providers can offer their home and business subscribers:
Voicemail
CTI2s IP-based, open, telco-grade voice-mail platform is an alternative
to legacy systems. CTI2s Voicemail seamlessly replaces legacy
voice mail
systems, while keeping the same user interface for subscribers and
providing an easy migration path to many enhanced value added services.
Voicemail Plus
This service increases the value of the service providers commodity
voice mail service by providing several value-added enhancements including:
Smart SMS notifications of new messages with ability to visually select
which voice mail to listen to, a PC based voice mail notifier with only a
click away from listening to messages, and use of Web or e-mail client to
access the voice mail mailbox.
Fax Service
Provides a virtual fax number enabling the subscriber and businesses to
receive and send faxes directly from their desktops without needing an
actual fax machine.
E-mail Notifications to Mobile Devices
With this service, the application platform delivers or notifies
subscribers of their most important e-mails, via SMS, pager or other mobile
devices.
E-mail-by-Phone
Subscribers can have hands-free access to e-mails from a telephone or cell
phone (e.g. while driving) using text-to-speech technology, listen to e-mails, reply with a voice message or forward to another person.
Among the new features available in version 3.5 are:
- Support for the new and enhanced Pocket PC 2002 PDA family, enabling
subscribers to listen to voice mails and view faxes using their PDA.
- A new Message Indicator located on the desktop task bar enables
subscribers to be notified of new voice messages while away in the office
and listen to the messages with a single click of a mouse.
- An enhanced telco-grade fax server integrating Stellnets fax
spooling software so subscribers can send any of 225 file types to any fax
machine.
- Management and administrative tools have also been enhanced with the
addition of a management console and new reporting capabilities.
