Telera Supports Call Control XML
Telera announced its endorsement of
the first public Working
Draft of the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Call Control eXtensible
Markup Language (CCXML) specification.
As a co-author of the original CCXML proposal submitted to the W3C,
Telera
will support adoption of CCXML by launching an early access program for
developers. The program provides advance access to Telera's implementation
of CCXML to members of the Telera DeVXchange, a developers' community that
provides the essential resources for easy and rapid VoiceXML-based
application development.
"The release of the CCXML Working Draft is an important step
toward
standardizing the essential call control features used in building
enterprise-class call center applications. The general availability of
CCXML, and other W3C technical specifications, have accelerated the
evolution of open standards and sparked rapid innovation in advanced voice
services," said Mukesh Sundaram, Telera CTO. "The early
implementation of
call control functionality into our platform was a result of Telera's
extensive experience creating enhanced enterprise voice applications. We
welcome the standardization of CCXML as it further validates our original
strategy."
Telera's Voice Web Application Platform currently adds
advanced call control capabilities to VoiceXML using the Telera extensible
Markup Language (TXML). Telera's expertise in call control is validated by
the more than 50 enterprise voice applications that are currently powered
by
Telera's platform.
Telera's Voice Web Application Platform leverages the
innovation and flexibility of the Internet and the convenience and
reliability of the telephone, allowing service providers to offer advanced
voice applications to enterprise customers. IP-based architecture ensures
simple integration and scalability within highly reliable service provider
networks, and open standards technology and development tools enable
enhanced service offerings and innovative Web-driven voice applications.
