TelStrat Int'l and G-Tek
Electronics Corporation announced that they are developing and
manufacturing new Cisco SCCP telephones for communications over Cisco Data
Networks.
The i2732 IP Telephone for Cisco AVVID voice networks expands on the
current capabilities of other Cisco network terminals and offers telephony
functionality -- such as 16-Line/Speed keys, Do-Not-Disturb, and parsing
of soft features to fixed feature keys for simplified,
single-glance-and-press, operation -- that is unavailable to the Cisco
Call Manager or Cisco telephones.
Under this special agreement, G-Tek Electronics is manufacturing the
plastics and circuit board based upon electronics and software designed by
TelStrat Int'l. The i2732 phone, which will be globally marketed and sold
under the TelStrat Int'l brand name to dealers and distributors, is
expected to be generally available in May 2002.
"Our partnership with TelStrat is clearly a good opportunity for
us to prove our position in the marketplace, once again, as we continue to
boost our market share in the United States and abroad," said Dan
Groulx, Senior Vice President of G-Tek Electronics. "We are honored
to work with a true industry leader," continued Mr. Groulx.
"Outsourcing our manufacturing operations helps us to lower our
operational costs and to focus our efforts on increasing sales", said
Richard Moore, Vice President, Business Development for TelStrat Int'l.
"G-Tek Electronics has long been a known commodity in the industrial
design and product engineering of commercial grade telephony products, and
we are confident that end users will benefit from their expertise,"
continued Mr. Moore.
