Using Fresh Content to Leverage Your Online Community

 Having fresh, up-to-date content will reinforce your company’s branding and build its online presence. Your branding is only as impactful as the content that it possesses.

One way to maximize your impact is to feature company or industry-related content onto your Community as often as possible.  The more up-to-date, relevant content, the more engaging your Community will be. The key is to keep it fresh so people will return again and again. While your TMC (News - Alert) editorial team will help with this, we also encourage you, as a Community member, to keep your team up to date with your latest company news, goals and accomplishments.

Need an idea for what kinds of content to post that will help keep your Community fresh? A recent article by Paul Dunay (News - Alert) of BtoB Magazine writes that the best kind of content is material that can be used for “inbound marketing,” – or content that encourages others to share or comment on it. Types of content that can be shared socially include podcasts, whitepapers, blogs, videos, and more.  Need help pulling these types of pieces together? Just ask your TMC team! 
 
The point of the content is to trigger a reaction from the readers of your Online Community whether through Facebook (News - Alert) “likes” or comments on discussion boards to get them coming back to your community to read future content.
