Red Rocket, a seller of miniature power supplies and provider of electronic manufacturing and engineering services, reportedly has signed a contract with Fort Worth, Texas based Allied Electronics.
Allied has 55 sales branches across the United States and Canada. The company is a subsidiary of Electrocomponents, a catalog component distributor.
Under the agreement, Red Rocket will promote EOS brand power conversion products through Allied’s new 2009 catalogue, released this month, as well as through its 55 U.S. and Canadian sales branches.
In addition, Red Rocket’s EOS power supplies now are available to design engineers and purchasing managers through the Allied Web site.
EOS power supplies offer designers a slim-line package and low thermal signature.
“These features and benefits produce care-free use, low heat generation and reduced total cost of ownership,” according to Red Rocket officials.
Red Rocket designs, manufactures and markets its EOS AC/DC power solutions for applications in industrial, medical, multimedia and data-networking products and systems.
EOS power supplies are currently being used in computers, point of sale and touch screen terminals, broadcasting and multimedia equipment, IT hubs, switches and routers.
“Allied Electronics is a strong complement to our business, making the EOS brand easily accessible to design engineers and purchasers across North America,” said James B ( News - Alert). Schultz, president and chief executive officer at Red Rocket.
He also said that his company is investing resources in Allied’s ability to reach and serve hundreds of thousands of customers wanting a high density and high efficiency power supply from a proven U.S. company and a seamless supply chain and fulfillment solution.
“Allied is pleased to add the Red Rocket, Inc. EOS brand power supplies to our line card and offer customers access to their innovative solutions for high density and high efficiency power conversion products,” said Scott McLendon, vice president of product management and marketing at Allied.
Earlier this month, Red Rocket announced the release of its new MWLT100 Series of Open Frame, AC/DC power supplies for use in the global medical industry. The MWLT100 Series of single output convection cooled products are “one of the smallest” 100-watt power supply packages available in the industry today typically one-third the size.
