Alert) Inc., which offers consumer electronic device personalization, announced that it has launched “Customizer,” an enhancement to the PhotoUploader option.
The Customizer allows uploading of personal photos or graphic images from web based libraries besides adding designs to them and decorating them. Users can also apply type to consumer electronic devices like mobile handsets, MP3 players, laptop computers, gaming consoles, routers and monitors, said Skinit in a press release.
The customizer allows users to scale, rotate, set image transparency, add stylized text, use different shapes and designs, select background colors and vector-based images from the Skinit graphics library or any other partner library which is online. Further different sides of the device can be designed differently according to user’s liking.
Paul Buss, CEO of Skinit said in the press release, “You now have the ability to add your own photos, photos from any URL or photos from hosted libraries of images and designs. You can then easily drag- and-drop them to your skin and customize them even further with text and art. It creates unlimited personalization options, and we have been overwhelmed by the response from consumers since we recently made the tool available on the Skinit website.”
“Personalization is clearly a hot trend and a way for consumers to express their own individuality and uniqueness and the Customizer provides the ultimate tool for doing just that,” added Buss.
Shinit’s Customizer caters to on-demand personalization platforms in about 16 partner websites such as Hewlett Packard, Verizon (

Alert) wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile and Dell among others. This facility enables seamless integration and the partner firms can match brand colors, add designs and images according to brand guidelines and place logos differently for their promotional campaigns.
