Corel DVD Copy 6, an innovative product from Corel Corporation, has earned the DivX Ultra Certification. The certification signifies a superior digital media experience with DivX output.

Corel DVD Copy 6 allows users to copy and burn unencrypted DVDs and videos in three easy steps. It also enables video files to be viewed on more than 100 million DivX Certified devices from leading manufacturers. With the DivX Ultra Certification, consumers will be able to create fully featured interactive DivX content.

"Corel DVD Copy 6 provides consumers with the popular DivX media format to create a high-quality cinematic experience for the PC and DivX Certified consumer electronic devices," said Jeff Hastings, President and General Manager, Digital Media at Corel. "Offering DivX as an output video option for Corel DVD Copy 6 not only helps us to meet consumer demand for DivX, but it also offers an opportunity to extend their media into the living room and beyond."

"We are very excited to see the DivX Ultra Certification of Corel DVD Copy 6. With Corel DVD Copy 6, Corel enables solutions that improve the overall media experience for the consumer beyond the PC into the DivX certified living room and mobile devices," said Patrice Lagrange, Vice President and Group Business Manager, Media Languages, DivX, Inc. "Users of Corel's DVD Copy 6 will benefit from the ability to fit multiple movies on a standard DVD, as well as create and manage single, high-quality DivX video files that incorporate the complete DVD-like experience."

The DivX Certified logo is awarded to products only after a thorough testing program that guarantees a quality DivX media experience. It also symbolizes reliable video creation and playback and interoperability with other DivX Certified devices.
