Platinum Wireless (News - Alert) is merging with Simplicity Wireless, a national distributor for Boost Mobile products and services, for an undisclosed amount.

 

For Platinum Wireless, which is aggressively diversifying assets to further expand wireless distribution channel merger with Simplicity, the merger with Simplicity is the second major transaction in less than one year.

 

The company had recently acquired American Connections.

 

“We knew that a broader service roster would allow us to better serve our clients and acquire new client partnerships on the way,” Greg Wilk, Sr. VP of Sales stated in a press release.

 

Platinum Wireless was attracted to Simplicity Wireless due to its strong market share of the Boost Mobile Prepaid market.

 

“They target mass business and consumer market by offering innovative wireless services that are simple, affordable, local, and relevant,” states Baze Melamed, President.

 

“The merger was a logical next step in the growth of Platinum Wireless. Simplicity Wireless greatly complements our Sprint (News - Alert) operation to serve a new sector of the wireless users and tap into the talents of both Sprint and Boost,” states Jeff Javidzad, CEO.

Since the merger Platinum Wireless’ employee roster has grown to an impressive 110 and services 3,000 points of distribution nationwide.
