AMTEL’s Telecom Information Management System (TIMS) is a comprehensive web-based platform for procurement, invoice management and inventory management of telecommunication services for medium to large organizations.

When used in conjunction with AMTEL’s core professional services, TIMS delivers a sophisticated approach for managing telecom assets and their invoices. The solution provides telecommunications billing management, auditing, chargeback accounting, mobile management, procurement, moves, vendor contract management and more. Thus it helps companies reduce the cost of managing all communications - voice, data and mobile.

The software uses advanced algorithms for mobile optimization which can reportedly save companies 10 to 40% on their mobile telecommunication management expenses. In addition, the software employs SAS 70 Type II certification to bring the highest level of security and compliance.

Among its key features, TIMS’ Inventory Manager creates and maintains a dynamic inventory of all the voice, data and mobile assets across an enterprise to a centralized location. It is updated automatically with changes made in the Service Manager to keep it current and accurate. Key modules of Inventory Manager include the Employee Module; the Locations Module; the Inventory Module; and Vendor Modules. Inventory Manager is the cornerstone for auditing invoices. An accurate inventory is essential for billing management, contract negotiation and consolidation of non working underutilized circuits.

Meanwhile, the software’s Procurement Manager tracks all the changes in the telecom environment at an enterprise. It is fully meshed with all the modules of the Inventory Manager. Any change implemented in Service Manager - whether it be ordering new circuit or consolidation of existing circuits or a change in employee mobile phone plan - automatically gets reflected in the Inventory Manager. Thus the client gets complete visibility and control from pintail order placement to installation to validation.

The software also sports an Invoice Manager, which enables complete telecom invoice processing, bill validation and auditing; a Contract Manager which provides tools for managing and ensuring compliance with multiple carrier contracts; and a Report Manager which generates an extensive array of reports which can be configured to the needs of an enterprise.
