Allworx, which offers VoIP phone systems for small businesses, introduced its multi-faceted business communications system, Allworx 24x, in September 2006. The solution, which is designed for businesses with up to 100 users, offers simultaneous support for T1/PRI, FXO, as well as VoIP trunking options, to address all of a company’s communications needs.
This competitively priced phone system (approximately $450 per seat, installed) offers true PBX and key system functionality, including DSS/BLF and line appearances, multiple conference call bridges, comprehensive call queuing options, voice mail, auto attendants, remote users, multi-site calling functions, plus an integrated PC router and firewall. The system is easy to install and use. Best of all it has multiple built-in connections which enable customers to migrate to VoIP at their own pace.
This flexible system builds on its predecessor, Allworx 6x, by supporting traditional CO lines, T1/PRI circuits for voice, and Ethernet or T1 connections for ISP data services. This combination enables companies to reduce the amount of equipment on their network: Allworx 24x can replace as many as six devices by integrating telephony, email and Web in a single appliance. This is a key selling point, since T1/PRI lines are becoming affordable to the point where even small businesses or departmental work groups can afford them.
With its full feature set, the flexibility to grow as a business does, and the lowest installed cost of any full-featured VoIP PBX/Key-system, the Allworx 24x system is helping to propel VoIP adoption among smaller businesses – thus giving them the same advantages that many larger companies now have.
