Motion Computing’s LS800 is the most compact, high-performance, slate tablet PC available, weighing only 2.2 lbs. It packages Intel Centrino mobile technology, including a 1.2 GHz ULV processor; Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition; a 60GB hard drive; and 512MB of DDR2 400MHz system memory – all in a book-sized form factor.
The LS800 features a bright 8.4-inch display with a 120-degree viewing angle. Optional View Anywhere display technology provides visibility at nearly all angles, both indoors and outdoors. The LS800 also features Motion’s proprietary Speak Anywhere technology – a dual microphone array for high-fidelity voice input. Speak Anywhere enables voice recognition, speech-to-text and VoIP application capabilities.
The LS800’s advanced security capabilities protect user, network and enterprise data. An embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and built-in fingerprint reader provide a unique double layer of security. The TPM positively identifies a computer to an organization’s network, while the fingerprint reader identifies a user to a computer.
To maximize durability, the LS800 is housed in a plated carbon-fiber chassis. Its 1.8-inch hard drive prevents data loss, with twice the shock resistance of a 2.5-inch hard drive. It is suitable for diverse work environments, from the hospital to the construction site.
