SIPquest’s Mobile Console is a software application residing in mobile handsets that delivers personal command and control of communications services over WiFi or WiFi and GSM, or WiFi and CDMA, network interfaces. Its single GUI and support for unified numbering consolidates both WiFi and cellular identities to provide a seamless end-user experience. The “Network Aware” feature detects and recommends network connectivity to allow users to place and receive a call over the best available network – WiFi or cellular – optimizing for lowest cost, highest call quality or user preference.
The latest enhancements to Mobile Console include three major features:
• Instant Messaging: Using this enterprise-grade feature, employees can send and receive important messages to each other instantly. Senders know in real-time if intended recipients are online or offline to determine if they are receiving the message.
• Presence: This feature enables employees to easily set their phones to “meeting,” “away” or other settings so that callers have a proper expectation of when a message or call may be received and/or returned.
• Corporate Directory: Using this feature, users have immediate access to a centralized, up-to-date directory of names that can be easily accessed for instant review or calling. One click on a directory name connects both the caller and highlighted employee.
Enterprise workers can use these new features to check the availability of co-workers, sort through the corporate directory, enable three-way or four-way conference calls, sort through call logs of their desktop phone and have the IP PBX deliver calls to a temporary number.
