Cloud Computing Leader Vultr Expands Executive Team to Address Growing AI Infrastructure and Enterprise Cloud Demand

Today, Vultr, the world's largest privately-held cloud computing platform, announced the appointment of two new senior executives to its leadership team to meet the growing demand for its enterprise cloud compute and cloud GPU capabilities. Former ZoomInfo SVP of Data-as-a-Service and Data Orchestration, Amit Rai joins as Vultr's General Manager of AI and Enterprise Cloud, and Nathan Goulding, joins from Equinix to serve as Vultr's new SVP of Engineering. Building on Vultr's growth to 32 worldwide cloud data center locations and expansive enterprise cloud services, Vultr's new executives will accelerate the scaling of its enterprise customer base and cloud services globally.

A seasoned executive with nearly two decades of experience building and scaling technology businesses, Rai will serve as Vultr's new General Manager of AI and Enterprise Cloud, driving innovation and growth. In this role, Rai will be focused on expanding Vultr's AI and enterprise solutions across its global cloud footprint, spanning six continents. Rai brings a wealth of experience in GTM strategy, product, sales, and customer success. He previously worked for Infosys, Fidelity, Qualcomm, Model N, EverString, and mst recently ZoomInfo, where he led the fastest-growing line of business, contributing significantly to the company's growth to more than a billion dollars in revenue.

In his new role as SVP of Engineering, Goulding will accelerate the execution of Vultr's aggressive product roadmap, bringing new capabilities and enhanced performance to Vultr's 32 global cloud data center locations. With more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure-as-a-service and cloud computing sector, Goulding has a proven track record of success, having served as Chief Architect for Equinix Metal before leading Cross-Product Platform Engineering at Equinix, the largest global data center and colocation provider. Beginning with founding the game server hosting company ECGN in 2002, Goulding has spent his career in cloud infrastructure, including at Voxel, Internap, and Packet. He has been a strong advocate for open source technology, contributing as a co-creator and architect of the Apache-licensed Tinkerbell (tinkerbell.org), a collection of bare metal provisioning tools now supported by the CNCF. This commitment aligns with Vultr's own vision of creating an open, composable ecosystem of best-of-breed technology partners.

"Vultr has been at the forefront of cloud infrastructure innovation for the past decade. As we increasingly support the needs of global enterprises and high-growth innovators needing to efficiently and reliably scale their cloud infrastructure and AI initiatives, I couldn't be more excited to welcome these two seasoned executives," said J.J. Kardwell, CEO of Vultr's parent company, Constant. "Both Amit and Nathan bring long-tenured experience and proven success building and scaling enterprise technology platforms and businesses. Their experience and leadership will help Vultr deliver on our mission to make high-performance cloud computing easy to use, affordable, and locally accessible for businesses and developers around the world."
