edatanetworks Inc. Granted USPTO Patent Utilizing Micro-Donations & Advertising

edatanetworks Inc. announced today the approval of patent 17/230,076 from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This patent strengthens edatanetworks' intellectual portfolio (IP) in the areas of digital and broadcast advertising.

With this patent, tokenized transaction data is analyzed to determine if a targeted digital / broadcast advertisement (i.e. ATSC 3.0) resulted in a purchase with the advertising merchant. When a match is identified, a merchant-funded micro-donation is generated for local community organizations. By correlating donation commitments to transactions, local merchants benefit from a measurable return on marketing spend. As the local merchant grows their business, they are in turn strengthening the community in which they live and prosper.

"Patent 17/230,076 complements related issued patents 11,010,787; 11,093,972; and 11,610,227, as part of ou extensive intellectual property portfolio. Together these patents further reinforce the core principles of our IP's DNA where donations are 100% merchant defined, 100% pass through, and consumer-directed - at no cost to the consumer," said Terry Tietzen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of edatanetworks. "The goodwill that is generated through a merchant's micro-donations provides notable positive impact to their reputation and brand value with local customers."
