Ooma Office Enhances Business Phone Service with New Advanced Capabilities

Ooma, Inc., a smart communications platform for businesses and consumers, has announced new advanced capabilities for its Ooma Office business phone service, including Call Screening, Distinctive Ringtones, and more. Ooma Office is designed for easy setup and use by non-phone experts and offers transparent pricing with three service plans.

The new features announced today include:

  • Call Screening: This tool helps users avoid robocalls and unnecessary distractions by requiring callers to record their name, allowing the recipient to accept or reject the call after hearing the recorded name.

  • Distinctive Ringtones: A business Ring Group can be assigned a unique ringtone, making it easy for group members to distinguish incoming service calls from other calls.

  • Call Deflection to Text: This capability sends callers a pre-written text message when the Ooma Office Virtual Receptionist answers a call, providing a new way for customers to connect with the business.

  • Call Leaderboard: Managers can view a leaderboard showing each team member's call statistics, such as total calls received and placed, average call duration, and more.

  • Faxing from the Mobile App: The Ooma Office mobile app now supports sending faxes of documents or photos directly from the user's smartphone, as well as viewing a list of recently sent faxes.

  • Videoconferencing Enhancements: Ooma Meetings, the Ooma Office videoconferencing app, now allows users to preview their camera, enable noise suppression, and see a list of upcoming meetings from their Google or Microsoft (News - Alert) calendar.

  • Bulk Download of Recorded Calls: Users can download multiple call recordings to their computer in a single step, useful for compliance, order confirmation, or training purposes.

Dennis Peng (News - Alert), Vice President of Product Management at Ooma, said that these new capabilities aim to make Ooma Office even more valuable by providing additional tools for efficiently managing phone calls, texts, faxes, and videoconferences.
