Snowden Lane Partners Opens 13th Office for New Advisor Team in New Hampshire

Snowden Lane Partners, an independent, advisor-owned, wealth advisory firm dedicated to providing client-focused advice in a values-driven culture, today announced that The Upland Group has joined the firm and will open a new office in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Snowden Lane's 13^th office nationwide.

The former Morgan Stanley team joins Snowden Lane with $212 million in client assets and is comprised of industry veterans Stephen Bartholow, Coe Kerr and Stephanie Young. Bartholow and Kerr are both joining the firm as Managing Directors and will serve as Senior Partner and Partner, respectively. Young will operate as a Senior Registered Client Relationship Manager.

The Upland Group is the first team to join the fast-growing hybrid RIA in 2023, following a two-year period that saw Snowden Lane add 23 advisors and $3.9 billion in total client assets. With over 75 years of combined financial services experience, The Upland Group specializes in estate, retirement and wealth planning for high-net-worth clients, underscored by a multi-generational portfolio management approach.

Prior to Snowden Lane, Bartholow and Kerr o-founded The Upland Group at Morgan Stanley, where they have spent the past 13 years sharing the roles of portfolio manager, financial advisor and investment strategist.

Bartholow previously served as chief investment officer at Carret Asset Management for 10 years and as portfolio manager for Cowen Asset Management, a division of Cowen & Co. He has extensive experience serving high-net-worth clients and institutional accounts.

Similarly, Kerr spent 12 years working for Carret Asset Management as a senior portfolio manager, in addition to serving as president and CEO for six years. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager for H.G. Wellington & Co. and director of research for Tucker Anthony, where he also served on the executive committee and the board of directors. He has also worked as an equity analyst for firms including Lehman Brothers, Kuhn Loeb, Pain Webber Mitchell Hutchins and Dean Witter Reynolds.

Young previously served as a portfolio associate and financial planning associate at Morgan Stanley for over 10 years, responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Upland Group. Additionally, she was responsible for client account maintenance, sourcing new client relationships and operational procedures.
