Pat Pascarella (Photo: Business Wire) Pascarella, who moved from a Global Competition Review 100 firm, brings with him wide-ranging experience in antitrust litigation and counseling. He has represented clients facing investigations, enforcement, and litigation in the United States, Mexico, Columbia, and Europe. His career also includes service with the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division in Washington, D.C., and a dozen years as AT&T's (News - Alert) chief in-house antitrust counsel. Pascarella has represented clients in many landmark antitrust cases, including Bell Atlantic Corp. v. Twombly, Pacific Bell v. linkLine, and United States v. Microsoft (News - Alert). He has defended some of the largest mergers ever consummated in the United States. He recently also persuaded the Mexican competition authority to rescind a billion-dollar fine it previously had levied for an alleged abuse of dominance. He has advised and represented clients in a wide number of industries including telecommunications, cyber security, manufacturing, media and content, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, online platforms, sports, weapon systems, and ice cream. Lerner also has substantial experience defending mergers and acquisitions before the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice for clients across a diverse array of industries including broadcasting, building and construction services, construction, consumer and industrial electronics, cosmetics, financial services, oilfield services, online services, steel, and telecommunications. He has also counseled and enabled clients in these and other industries in virtually all aspects of antitrust and competition risk management.
