According to a 2018 study by McKinsey, the market for ID verification-as-a-service will grow from $10 billion in 2017 to between $16 billion and $20 billion in 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic is accelerating the trend toward social isolation and it is more critical than ever to have a fully digital way to prove our identities. Existing solutions are typically image-based and rely on humans for subject comparison, document authenticity and data validation.
