Aria Systems Announces Appointment of Barry Zwarenstein to Its Board of Directors
Aria Systems, the leader in helping enterprises grow subscription and usage-based revenue, today announced that Barry Zwarenstein has been appointed as an independent member to its Board of Directors. Zwarenstein is chief financial officer of Five9 (News - Alert) (FIVN), a leading provider of cloud contact center solutions, and recipient of the 2019 Bay Area CFO of the Year Award for the small-to-medium public company category.
"A highly accomplished executive with a tremendous track record of financial leadership, Barry has held CFO positions at multiple notable companies and has presided over years of consistent revenue growth at Five9," said Tom Dibble, President and CEO, Aria Systems (News - Alert). "Barry is an outstanding addition to our Board and I am confident that his experience and guidance will help propel Aria to even greater heights."
The addition of Zwarenstein comes as Aria continues its high-growth tajectory. In the first half of 2020, the company grew revenue by 50 percent as compared with the same period in 2019, with strong underlying operational metrics, including achieving sustainably positive EBITDA, and significant expansion in net retention and gross margins rivaling best-in-class SaaS company metrics.
Zwarenstein brings more than 35 years of financial leadership in the technology space to Aria's Board. He has served as CFO of Five9 since January 2012 and has been the CFO of several companies, including Iomega Corporation and Mellanox (News - Alert) Technologies. During his career, Zwarenstein has managed successful IPOs at Five9, Logitech and VeriFone and played a significant role in the $635M sale of SMART Modular Technologies (News - Alert) to Silver Lake Partners and the $700M sale of Acuson to Siemens Health Care.
"Aria is the proven industry leader for the enterprise market and continues to introduce innovative billing and monetization solutions that support global enterprises as they pursue opportunities to generate new revenue streams from subscription services," said Zwarenstein. "I am honored to join the Board and look forward to helping the company sustain and accelerate profitable growth."
