Paul, Weiss Announces Election of Seven New PartnersPaul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP is pleased to announce that seven attorneys have been elected to the partnership, effective January 1, 2020: Jonathan H. Ashtor, Rachael G. Coffey, Alexia D. Korberg, Caith Kushner, Kyle T. Seifried, Brette Tannenbaum and Austin Witt. All are resident in the New York office. Jonathan Ashtor will become a partner in the corporate department, where he focuses on intellectual property and technology matters. Jonathan advises clients on M&A and financing transactions primarily in the technology sector, all forms of IP licensing and dispositions of patent portfolios. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and his B.S., with honors, from the University of Toronto. Rachael Coffey will become a partner in the corporate department, where she focuses on mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and general corporate matters. Rachael received her J.D., cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center, and her B.A., cum laude, from Princeton University. Alexia Korberg will become a partner in the litigation department. She represents clients in high-stakes commercal disputes across a range of industries, and is experienced in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Alexia received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Columbia University. Caith Kushner will become a partner in the corporate department, where he focuses on finance transactions, including secured borrowings, high-yield debt issuances, bridge financings and real estate loans. Caith received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was both a James Kent and a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar, and his B.A. and B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. Kyle Seifried will become a partner in the corporate department, where he focuses on mergers and acquisitions. Kyle also regularly advises clients on activist defense, corporate governance and compliance matters, reporting obligations and takeover preparedness. He received his J.D. and his B.A. from Georgetown University. Brette Tannenbaum will become a partner in the litigation department. She represents clients in complex civil litigation, including antitrust, securities, employment litigation and other commercial disputes. Brette received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was both a James Kent and a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar, and her B.A., with honors, from Princeton University. Austin Witt will become a partner in the corporate department, where he focuses on finance transactions, with particular experience in restructuring. Austin represents sponsors, direct lenders and major corporations in a wide range of high yield and investment grade transactions, and has experience in cross-border financings. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and his B.A., cum laude, from Rice University.
