Peter Clarke Joins Academy Securities' Advisory Board


Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer, certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), today announced the addition of Peter T. Clarke to its Advisory Board.

Mr. Clarke is a municipal bond industry veteran, having held various management positions at J.P. Morgan for over 40 years. Mr. Clarke joined J.P. Morgan in 1977 as an institutional salesman. He moved to the municipal underwriting desk in 1982, which he headed from 1984 to 2009. From 2009 to 2017, Mr. Clarke was Vice Chairman of Public Finance.

Mr. Clarke served two terms on the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board of which he was Chairman from 2009 to 2010. Mr. Clarke is a past President of the Municipal Bond Club of New York, served on the Municipal Forum of New York Board, and is currently a FINRA arbitrator. He received a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
