Liz Fouts, Assistant Vice President and Associate Counsel, The Standard (Photo: Business Wire) Fouts brings more than 19 years of legal experience to her role. Since joining The Standard in 2008, Fouts has held several legal positions including advising on employment and privacy matters as an attorney in the Corporate Legal Department and working on insurance litigation for the Insurance Services Group Legal Department. In 2016, she was promoted to second vice president and associate counsel where she was responsible fo managing legal and compliance for Retirement Plans and Individual Annuities. Prior to joining The Standard, Fouts was in-house counsel for ALL Student Loan, a nonprofit student lender. She began her legal career practicing as a litigator and business attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area. "As a leader, Liz is passionate about empowering the Legal team to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while delivering on business priorities and focusing on continuous improvement," said Holley Franklin, vice president and chief legal officer at The Standard.
