"SingularityU is devoted to reinforcing Canada's role as a tech innovator," said Paul Crowe, Senior Leader of Intersect. "While our two organizations may seem different on the surface, we actually have very similar goals. We both want to help people and brands understand the possibilities and problems that the future may hold, then create innovative solutions that will take them there while creating a better world for everyone around them. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what great ideas and new connections come out of this event."

Singularity University was founded in 2008 by renowned thinkers Ray Kurzwell and Peter Diamandis and has become a global initiative that brings together some of the worlds best minds and business leaders to learn and create using exponential technologies to tackle the world's biggest challenges and build an abundant future for all. In 2017, SingularityU Canada was started to help ensure that Canada plays a global role in shaping the way we all live and work. The upcoming Summit will aim to give a deeper understanding of how exponential technology will benefit nearly every aspect of our daily lives and how Canada can contribute to the effort and brings together senior leaders in business, governent, and non-profits, along with scientists, educators, and other leaders for a three and a half day program to discuss and explore ways that they can work to shape Canada's future.

Intersect will bring their extensive knowledge and experience in product strategy, rapid prototyping, design, engineering, and more to the table as they continue to grow their partnership with SingularityU Canada.

"We hope to bring our expertise in moving exponential ideas and solutions forward to the themes being discussed at the Summit," said Paul Crowe.

About SingularityU Canada

SingularityU Canada is a not-for-profit organization committed to inspiring and enabling more Canadians to think BIG, take risks, and drive global impact. They are a grass-roots movement of passionate individuals and forward-thinking Canadian organizations that came together to catalyse a pan-Canadian community of thinkers and doers. SingularityU Canada was born of uncommon partnerships across communities, governments, and sectors, each of which wishes to have strategic conversations about their collective future and ensure that Canada plays a global role in shaping the way we all live and work.

The SingularityU Canada Summit is the cornerstone of the pan-Canadian SingularityU Canada movement. The Summit convenes the leading Canadian and International thought leaders to inspire Canadians to shape the Future of Canada and drive global impact. A forum for true debate and uncommon conversations about how technologies like artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and digital medicine will impact the way we live and work.

Building the Canadian platform of Singularity University was made possible when a grassroots movement of Canadian SU alumni brought together a visionary group of founding members including ATB, BMO, CIBC, Canadian Medical Association, CN, Deloitte, FairVentures, Goodmans LLP, Google, the Government of Ontario, RBC, Rogers Communications, Scotiabank, Suncor, TMX and TD Bank Group. Together this initial group is on a mission to share SU's exponential mindset and bold thinking with Canadians from coast to coast to coast. The group is working closely with leading-edge innovation hubs, academic institutions, and NGOs across the country to create a pan-Canadian network of partners who wish to come together and discuss Canada's role in shaping our collective future.
